CHARACTER INFORMATION
REAL NAME – Darci Dillinger
NAME – La Cucaracha
ALIAS – The Wrestle-Pest, the Canadian Cockroach, the First Roach of Wrestling
AGE - 20
FROM – Toronto, Ontario, Canada
HEIGHT & WEIGHT – 5'4” & 129 pounds
ALIGNMENT – Hero – La Cucaracha is a plucky underdog, with a knack for bending the rules to even the odds. She shamelessly plays to the crowd in order to stay on their good side.
AFFILIATION - None
COMBAT EXPERIENCE – two years
BIOGRAPHY – La Cucaracha claims to be the descendent of a long line of proud luchadors bearing the same name, but typically with numbers attached. Official records state that the last luchador using the name La Cucaracha retired in the 1970's with a record of 8-430-9. The current La Cucaracha also claims more positive records of her family history have been destroyed to tarnish a legacy which she hopes to revitalize. Having lived most of her life in Canada and being only one-quarter Mexican, La Cucaracha acknowledges that this story is farfetched, but she also believes people should deal with their own problems before casting dispersions on the latest member of a distinguished line of colorful heroes, with a larger-than-life personality and virtually limitless marketing potential. In addition, La Cucaracha believes her tireless efforts to promote brand recognition should net her a higher percentage of her merchandise profits than other members of the Pollomania roster. Will our heroine ever negotiate that extra 2%? Only time will tell.
AESTHETIC INFORMATION
PIC BASE – Portia Perez, preferably with a mask. Unfortunately, this was the only picture of her in a mask I could find: s172.photobucket.com/user/TheWho87EWR/media/Wrestlers/P_Images/Portia_Perez15.jpg.html
CASUAL ATTIRE – Chuck Taylors, jeans, nerd reference t-shirt or own merchandise and a hoodie.
RING ATTIRE – Racha's gear is predominantly purple, with orange highlights. Her pants have stylized roaches on them, made to look friendly and heroic instead of vile and disgusting. Her boots are orange and have the same roaches on the back. Her top is purple, with “¡La Cucaracha!” in orange over a white starburst. Her elbow pads are orange, and she wears purple fingerless gloves for grappling. Her domino mask is purple, with an orange outline. She keeps her shoulder-length hair in variations of topknots, pigtails and ponytail.
ENTRANCE ATTIRE – La Cucaracha always makes her entrance wearing one of her own T-shirts and toting an OFFICIAL POLLOMANIA La Cucaracha foam cockroach, with actual hissing feature.
ENTRANCE THEME – "Cuka Rocka" by Chingon:
DESCRIPTION – The opening chords of Chingon's “Cuka Rocka” announce the arrival of La Cucaracha, inspiring sounds of approval and slight indifference amongst the Pollomania faithful. The egg cracks open and a moment later, La Cucaracha scrambles out, one of her own t-shirts over her ring gear and an undisclosed item under one arm, prompting another chorus of approval and indifference. She reveals the mystery item to be an Official Pollomania La Cucaracha foam cockroach(with hissing feature), as she dashes to the tractor and climbs to the seat. Holding the foam cockroach to the sky she screams “ONLY $29.99!” before throwing the contractually mandated freebie to the rabid fans. Gracelessly jumping from the tractor back to the stage, she attempts a spin for the sake of showmanship, but lands awkwardly and only at the last second stops herself from falling off the stage completely. From there, the Canadian luchadora begins her walk to the ring, occasionally putting her hands together to make an unrecognizable roach outline. Some fans mimic the gesture, while others glare at the Wrestle-Pest in confusion and irritation. Once at the ring ropes, La Cucaracha removes her official Pollomania La Cucaracha t-shirt and casually pitches it over her shoulder to the crowd. She then steps through the ring ropes, sprinting to a far corner and climbing to the second turnbuckle, once again giving the Pollomania faithful her roach hand signal that no one can seem to duplicate. La Cucaracha points to someone in the crowd, seemingly for no reason, before jumping back to the mat and awaiting the opening bell.
WRESTLING INFORMATION
WEAPONS – Racha isn't above keeping a pair of brass knuckles stashed in her boots. For hardcore matches she'll bring out a garbage can, complete with lid. She'll also keep a stash of candy in the garbage can to eat mid-match and throw to the audience for a cheap pop. Also, a one-shot t-shirt gun. Although there are rumors that La Cucaracha is having a more elaborate one custom made.
FIGHTING STYLE – Racha's main style is a blend of technician skills and cheating. She's good with technical moves and has a knack for bending the rules and getting away with it. If La Cucaracha gets caught cheating, she will apologize profusely to the referee and then do it again as soon as he isn't paying attention. She has also incorporated some basic lucha moves into her arsenal, but is a bit clumsy when it comes to high flying.
SPECIAL MOVES -
1. Hiss of Death – Straightjacket DDT
2. Roach Motel – Muta Lock
3. Verminator – 630 splash from the top rope, done awkwardly and reluctantly. If Racha hits it, it's as likely to end her as her opponent. It's essentially her nuclear option; used only in the most dire of circumstances.
SIGNATURE MOVES -
1. Bug Zapper – Lung blower, with the knees aimed at the back of the opponent's head.
2. Racha Rana – Springboard/top-rope huracanrana into a pinning combination.
3. Kafka-Plex – Fisherman's suplex setup, but instead of flipping the opponent, Racha spins it neckbreaker style into a pinning combination.
4. Cannonball! - With an opponent seated in one corner, Racha goes to the opposite corner, shouts “Cannonball!” for the sake of audience participation, gets a running start, leaps, and hits the opponent with a human cannonball.
ORDINARY MOVES -
1. Lots of quick pin attempts – Crucifix, inside cradle, school girl, etc.
2. Assorted cheap shots – Eye poke, stomping the opponent's feet, using the ropes for leverage
3. Drop-toe hold; both standard and into the corner
4. Spinning neckbreaker
5. Flying forearm
6. Jawbreaker
7. Backdrop(Smaller opponents)
8. Sleeper hold, with piggybacking for added leverage
9. High angle dropkick
10. High knee
11. Sling Blade
12. Second-rope elbow drop
13. Chicken-wing leg sweep
COUNTER MOVES -
1. Thump to the eyes
2. Dropkick to the knee
3. Standing Racha-Rana
