An office chair...
"Hello?"
The chair's high back was facing the camera, the man sitting in it had his feet up on the desk and was leaned back in the chair.
"This is him."
Although he gave no indication that he knew the camera was there, he somehow seemed keenly aware of it.
"Oh... yeah?"
It was less a sarcastic yeah than it was a genuinely curious, questioning yeah. The man slowly moved the chair back and forth as he listened intently. There was a full length mirror on the opposite side of the room that the man stopped to look at, but his brown boots blocked the view of his face.
"Save the sales pitch. How much?"
Straight to the point.
"That's per night?"
The answer on the other end evoked a very interested sounding "hmm" from the man.
"Sounds good. Nope, I've got no problems with that. You cover travel or do I?"
He nodded at the response.
"August 12th in Vegas. Got it. Nope, I haven't taken any bookings in a while."
He sighed, seemingly agitated by the reply.
"No, I'm not hurt."
His blunt reply seemed to give his suitor a hint, as they stopped pressing for details pretty quickly.
"Good. I'll be there."
With that, the phone beeped and he tossed it on his desk. He took his feet off the desk, still aware of the camera but making no attempt to face it. He opened a drawer and pulled out a mask... a simple old-school mask. Black with white patches over the eyes - it resembled a whale. He held it up with his hand inside showing it off to the camera.
"The Iron Orca, from the Shining Road to Pollomania..."
He chuckled.
"This should be fun."
