'Lyndz! We won!'
'Yes, Walter, I know. I need some fries now, please.'
'And I almost got the pin and everything! If that one lady hadn't pulled me off...'
'Yes, Walter, I know. I was there. The fries, please.'
'...and El Vainillo was impressed with me, Lyndz! He congratulated me at the end of the match, and he said I could be co-captain of our team next sh--'
'WALTER!!!'
'Yeah, yeah, I know...the fries.'
'Yeah.'
'…'
'…'
'...'
'...what's the deal with your team, anyway? Didn't it, like, fall apart or something?'
'Who told you it was falling apart?!'
'I saw it in their press release. That Daily Cluck thing.'
'Well, you should read it again. The Everyday Heroes did not fall apart. They just had a couple of changes in their ranks.'
'Because of that guy who had to pull out, right?'
'Grin, yeah. That was really freaky. Nobody knows what's wrong with him, either. I'm not gonna lie, we were fearing the worst there for a while. But we pulled through. Vainillo got a couple of friends of his from his other company – I think one of them's like, his boss or something – and I hit up a friend of mine. She hasn't wrestled in a while, but she was super-cool and said she'd try to help.'
'She?!'
'...yeah, Lyndsey, she. She is happily married and just had babies. Happy?'
'Actually, yeah. I didn't want to have to drag you out of that ring by one ear!'
'As if you could! You wouldn't be able to move me, with your scrawny little arms!'
'Wanna take your chances with these 'scrawny arms', big guy? Remember I'm taking Taekwon-Do...'
'All right, all right! I'm just messing with ya. You get the point. She's not a threat to...you know...'
'She better not be. And speaking of threats, how about this masked guy the other team got?'
'Oh, yeah. Nirvana. He's a legend. I've heard all sorts of stuff about this guy. As if our life wasn't complicated enough already. And he's threatening to carve us like turkeys, too...'
'Charming. I'm gonna have to tell him the only person who gets to roast you is ME!'
'Shut up, Lyndsey!'
'C'mon, Walt! I'm just joshing! Real talk, though – you're gonna win it for me on Wednesday, right?'
'Um...I dunno. Maybe. I mean, I'll try...but their team is, like, really, really good. I've seen what me and Vainillo can do, though. And I hear nothing but good things about these other people. So...maybe. But it ain't gonna be easy, I can promise you that.'
'Right. And you know what else isn't easy?'
'What?'
'Making good fries. And you're the best at doing that. So GET TO IT!!'
'...'
