### The following is an excerpt of the latest edition of Wrestling Odyssey, featuring special guest AJ Knight. The conversation took an interesting turn towards the end. ###
Frank Thompson: Now obviously AJ you've been at the center of no shortage of controversy since last year, a lot of that of course starting with your feud with Alexander Irvine, but that seems to be in the past now.
AJ Knight: The feud and Irvine himself. In the end I got the last laugh, I'm still here and he's not. Now who knows what the hell happened to him? I mean, I don't think he's retired yet which is unfortunate, but the man has to make his alimony payments somehow, and he has no other marketable skills.
Frank Thompson: So there's still some enmity there?
AJ Knight: Of course. The man's a cancer on the business, and the day he retires the sport is going to be better for it.
Frank Thompson: What ways do you think he's been bad for the business?
AJ Knight: He's one of those guys who does everything he can to hold down younger talents. He couldn't accept that his best days are behind him. Sure every now and again he gets a big win here and there, but on his best day he was just barely good enough to beat me on my worst. Now instead of remembering a great champion, we'll remember him as a pathetic old man, who didn't know when to let go. Sadly enough, I'm watching a man I actually did respect go down the same path.
Frank Thompson: And who might that be?
AJ Knight: David Troy. You know he was coming off of one of the greatest Championship reigns this side of Julian Cutlass, and now he's dressing up like a fucking Power Ranger, and prostituting his legacy to make a quick buck. I don't see a great champion now, and I don't think that's how he'll be remembered. If he doesn't quit this shit he's going to be remembered as a pathetic sell out. That makes me both sad and extremely angry because at this time last year I considered him one of my greatest rivals, and at this point I wouldn't even want him mentioned in the same breath as me.
Chet Butler: Obviously though, that's just the tip of the iceberg. Recently you've started quite a stir, with Robb Daniels and Seattle Pro. Would you care to elaborate on that at all?
AJ Knight: I thought I made it pretty clear on Twitter, but I'll reiterate part of it sure. Most of it comes down to the slap in the face of Robb refusing to take me at my word, when my word has been more valuable than some of the written contracts he has signed, including his excuse for a World Champion. And he seems to be the only promoter, who has this issue with my status as a freelancer, Krull has no problem, Chubbman didn't have a problem, neither did Pollo, it's pretty much Daniels. So it's all on him at this point.
Chet Butler: Now one big story from last year, that you've never really commented on was of course the controversy of Becky Chande's departure from Lion's Road, given the history between you two it seems strange that-
AJ Knight (Barely suppressed anger) : Next question, I made it perfectly clear last year I wasn't going to discuss that situation. I'm not digging into my personal life here, let's move along.
Chet Butler: Fine, what are your thoughts on the news about Matt Pulver?
AJ Knight: ...What news?
Chet Butler: Well there's been talk that he'll be coming to address his condition for the first time since his tragic injury, and it's rumored he'll be doing it at an upcoming Dynamism event. Obviously there's a lot of history there, and I think everybody wants to hear your thoughts.
AJ Knight: ...There's really nothing left for us to say to each other. We haven't spoken since the tour of Japan last year, and I think that's about how I want to keep it. Our last conversation, when we signed the contract for that match showed that whatever friendship we once had was broken beyond repair, and honestly there isn't anything worth saving. So I'm leaving it there, and hopefully Matt has enough brains to do the same.
Chet Butler: ... What was said at that contract signing?
AJ Knight: It's another thing that's not there's not point in discussing. It's done, and I'm through Pulver. No sense in bringing it up.
Chet Butler: Seems like a bit of a cop out doesn't it? Coming into an interview just to say "I don't want to talk about it?" when I ask you some real questions? Come on you're finally out of things to say? That's a first.
AJ Knight You know what? I'm done! Call me back when you learn how to do an interview Chet!
### AJ then stormed out apparently irritated by Butler's needling for an answer. The Wrestling Odyssey has reprimanded Chet Butler for his conduct, in the course of this interview, and has reached out to AJ Knight for another interview in the future but has so far received no reply. ###
