The season premiere continues to take shape as all six slots for the tag team title tournament have filled up rather fast including the mysterious RESERVED spot. Who could that be?! AIPollo is also in the process of researching the effects of having two or three wild card teams in the mix. What is a wild card team? Well... being that there are three teams in each block, each team will have a bye week where they are not participating in the tournament. A wild card team would be enlisted as their opponents and should they defeat the team in the block, they would take their place (and points!) with an additional two points for defeating the team to get into the block. Pure speculation at the moment!
Speaking of pure speculation, El Tigre de Jengibre's status at the season premiere is very up in the air at the moment. It is not known if he will even be able to compete due to the facial burns he received at the season one finale. Super Pollo mentioned on commentary during the event that he had rushed back from his own similar injuries to dish out some revenge and as a result would've been unable to compete in the Pollo Playhouse match had he been asked to. Conflicting reports - El Vainillo says he wasn't, and Super Pollo says he was. Interesting! Nevertheless, the Supremo Championship match originally scheduled for the season premiere has been pushed back an event or two until the doc gives Tigre the 100% A-OK to compete.
Raisin Branielson has declared he will be returning for the season premiere! He was last seen in a losing effort as the Breakfast Club fell to From Parts Unknown in the Three Cup Chicken trios tournament.
The Canadian Embassy also sent word to remind us of the interesting clause they earned by winning the trios tournament last season - that being that each winning member gets a match of their choosing.
In our last edition of the Cluck, Brutus Smith responded by stating the Embassy's stance in regards to Zargnax not only costing the Misfits the match but also unintentionally fireballing "Tigre Red" and accidentally launching Mr. Crazy into the cage wall. We still have yet to hear Mr. Crazy's side of things.
