AGE - 25
FROM - Coventry, England
HEIGHT & WEIGHT - 1.72 cm (5'8), 17 stone (240 lbs)
ALIGNMENT - HERO; Blaise is as white meat a babyface as they come, having built her young career (at least in UKWF) as a body-positive role model, a bit of a chav who's come from dire straits to fight for the common folk, and prove that no matter who you are or where you're from, dreams can come true, and through blood, sweat and tears, glory can be earned.
AFFILIATION - Blaise is a fan of the product, first and foremost, but has also associated with several Pollomania alumni, including Hammerstein and Tiger Mask Red.
COMBAT EXPERIENCE - 5
BIOGRAPHY -
Blaise Fader wasn't exactly born with a silver spoon in hand. The eldest child in a family of seven, she's got five younger brothers and a recovering alcoholic father, a veteran of The Troubles in Northern Ireland, to contend with in a cramped estate apartment. Her mother has been in and out of prison for most of her life, her most recent stint serving time on some serious drug charges (only three of the five children are hers).
Growing up in the Wood End area of Coventry, trouble was no stranger to Blaise and her brothers, but unlike them, she sought to persevere and keep her family together, despite their circumstances. While her mother was absent through most of their lives, her father battled his addictions, and her brothers battled each other and everybody else, Blaise made sure to keep her head up and her nose clean. Despite the sentiment, however, there weren't many opportunities for Blaise to reach for; she scraped by her primary schooling, barely passing most classes, and she often struggled with her weight.
One of her only passions, one that she could share with her entire family, was professional wrestling. She was a diehard fan from a young age, watching the larger, globe-trotting federations on the telly and seeing a slew of local traveling promotions whenever they were in town. It only seemed natural to her to pursue a career in the business, and after completing her schooling (and failing to hold down a steady job elsewhere), she trained under anyone willing to teach her the art of wrestling, to limited success.
Her first big break came in the form of UKWF, at that point a small, London-based promotion. For whatever reason, they took a chance on signing Blaise, and she moved from her family home in Coventry to a tiny flat in Brixton, and hit the ground running. Her time in UKWF has yielded unprecedented success and opportunity; after a grueling blood feud with 'Dublin Trouble' Juliet Black, she fought for and won the UKWF Championship from Skylynn Reed, and defended her Title for one hundred and eighty-eight days. The company has since been bolstered by talent new and old from around the globe, with Blaise at its stead.
In her training days and early career, Blaise was a fan of Pollomania's product - the wrestling and the chicken alike. She was inspired by the outside-the-box take on professional wrestling, the cast of unique characters, and the opportunities for impressive storytelling, such as Tiger Mask Red and El Vainillo's Máscara VS Máscara match. The promotion closed up shop before she could take part, but now that it's returned for its Cinco de Mayo special, Blaise wouldn't miss this opportunity for the world... that, and a chance to test her mettle with 4CW's Bryan Williams, an internet friend.
AESTHETIC INFORMATION
PIC BASE - Viper (ICW, Stardom, WCPW)
CASUAL ATTIRE - Anything from comfortable, loose-fitting jumpers and leggings to colorful, chic sundresses. Basically, whatever she damn well pleases.
RING ATTIRE - Boots, kneepads, fishnets, and a singlet in a variety of colors, generally black, white, blue, green, or pink.
ENTRANCE ATTIRE - Does your character wear anything notable during their entrance?
ENTRANCE THEME - "I Feel the Earth Move" by Shinedown
DESCRIPTION -
The upbeat, percussive piano of Carole King's familiar 70's hit fills the arena before anything else. It's when Shinedown's heavier drum beat and guitar bursts in that the giant egg on stage explodes open in a flurry of smoke and pyrotechnics, revealing a triumphant Blaise Fader! She leaps forward into the spotlight, shooting her fists in the air as sparks from the pyro rain down on her, hyping up the crowd as best as she can.
She makes her way down to the ring slowly and confidently, clapping along to the beat of her theme music, sparing time to high five and take selfies with fans.
Not exactly fit enough to dive through the ropes or Brock Lesnar her way in, Blaise vaults herself over the ropes and works the crowd on each side of the ring, raising her fists in the air from each turnbuckle. From there, she takes her corner, ready for her opponent(s).
WRESTLING INFORMATION
WEAPONS - N/A
FIGHTING STYLE - Blaise isn't the most technically sound grappler or flashy aerialist, but she is a powerhouse brawler, and involves a lot of crowd participation into her act; lots of high fives and rhythmic clapping. She does her best to work the crowd in her favor, indulging in chants and positive reactions. In the ring, she makes it a point to treat her opponents with the utmost respect; handshakes and Tests of Strength are the order of the day, until that respect is, well, disrespected.
When it isn't dealt out spontaneously, Blaise hypes up her Exocet up along with the crowd as much as she can. Elaborate set-ups (multiple rebounds, her opponent draped over the ropes/barrier, running all the way from the entrance ramp, etc) and corner-stomping, as well as 'pumping up' her boots like so.
SPECIAL MOVES -
Coventry Blitz (Argentine Powerbomb)
Godiva Lock (Seated Stretch Muffler)
Blaise of Glory (Diving Senton; last-ditch desperation finisher, since Blaise is terrified of heights...)
