“I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell
I know right now you can't tell
But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see
A different side of me
I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired
I know right now you don't care
But soon enough you're gonna think of me
And how I used to be...me”
El Tigre de Jengibre’s sitting in the shadows. His mask lies before him on the ground but the darkness hides his face. There seems to be a different tinge his voice, as if someone else is speaking.
“We’ve been going through a lot lately, so you’ll excuse us if we seem a little off tonight. In the past 2 weeks we have been pinned twice and recently we made our out of ring debut for Strike Towers Wrestling, making it four companies that we now work for. So you can understand if we feel a little stretched. Perhaps stretched enough that fragments of our old self have begun to resurface… but perhaps this conversation is best saved for another time.
“Our adversaries at ‘So It’s Come To This’ seem to be under the impression that they are the ones walking into the season finale as the underdogs. The fun thing is it’s our team that’s actual underdogs. No one expects us to win, we’re the bad guys and we’re supposed to lose. Another thing, while the so-called ‘Everyday Heroes’ might not all have a lot of experience working together, they still have a lot more cohesiveness than our team does.
“I mean look at our team, sure Brute and us work will together but Zargnax and Mr. Crazy can barely stand one another. How are they supposed to get along long enough to help us win? Plus Zargnax is an intergalactic conqueror and Mr. Crazy doesn’t give a damn about anyone but himself. Neither of them are exactly what you would call team players, are they? Then there’s the matter of our childhood hero, Nirvana. We’re surprised that none of our opponents have pointed out how we threw a fireball in his face during our Pollomania match. We know the fans haven’t forgotten, and we certainly haven’t. How can we be sure that he won’t turn on us if it becomes convenient? Would there be any better way to repay us for our dirty tactics than to cost us one of the biggest matches of our career?
“No, the ‘Everyday Heroes’ are clearly the favourites going into next week’s Pollo Playhouse match. What possible chance of winning could we have?”
With that he starts laughing and puts his mask on.
“We’ll win because we’re the real underdogs, and don’t you know, the underdogs always win. It also doesn’t matter if we can get along because we don’t have to, I will defeat everyone of our opponents myself without my partners if I have to but I don’t think it’ll come to that. We all serve the darkness.
“Beware, your end is at hand!”
