LOS KNUCKLEHEADS
TRIOS INFORMATION
- Team Name: Los Knuckleheads
- Team Members: Nyuk-Nyuk Joe, Angry Mo, and Frizzy Fro
- Combined Weight:
- Years Experience as a Team: roughly 3 years, most of it in Mexico
- Alignment (Face/Tecnico or Heel/Rudo): Face
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
- Ring Attire: All three members wear masks that make them look like lucha versions of The Three Stooges. Nyuk-Nyuk wears blue trunks with the words "Nyuk Nyuk" printed on the front in fancy letters. Angry Moe wears red tights with stylized white "M"s on the legs. Frizzy Fro wears a green singlet with no distinguishable features.
- Casual Attire: Outside of the ring, all 3 wear their masks as normal, however they dress in "casual conservative" clothes - typically this means a polo shirt (in their respective accent color), dress slacks, and fancy shoes.
ENTRANCE INFORMATION
- Entrance Music: "Wise Guy" by Max Johansen
- Ring Entrance: "Oh, a WISE GUY!" can be heard across the PA, then the dubstep stylings of "Wise Guy" by Max Johansen start to play. Los Knuckleheads walk onto the stage and stop to pose - Nyuk-Nyuk Joe slaps his head repeatedly, Angry Mo punches his fist into his palm, and Frizzy Fro smiles and waves to the crowd. Mo gets mad that Frizzy is playing to the crowd, so he slaps him in the back of the head. Frizzy gets offended by this and goes to slap Mo back, but Mo ducks and Frizzy ends up hitting Nyuk-Nyuk. Nyuk-Nyuk responds to this by pointing a finger and walking slowly, other hand cocked in a fist, towards Frizzy. Mo decides he's hand enough of this and grabs both his partners by the ear and walks them down to the ring. Once at ringside, Mo throws his partners ear-first into the ring and then climbs up and jumps over the top rope. Once they get inside, Mo orders them to go to the turnbuckles and pose, which they do only after scowling at the bossy Mo. Once they all do their pose downs, the three of them discuss (while slapping each other and poking each other's eyes) who will get things started.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
- Brief Biography: Many trios teams have a long and complicated history about how they formed. Los Knuckleheads do not. They were simply three wrestlers working in Mexico at the same time, who realized they had great chemistry and a passing resemblance to The Three Stooges.
- Championships/Accomplishments: Nothing you'd have heard of.
MOVE INFORMATION
- Finishers:
1. The Moider Machine: Mo gets tagged in as the legal man. Frizzy sets opponent up on his shoulders like an electric chair drop, while Nyuk-Nyuk and Mo each climb a nearby turnbuckle. Nyuk-Nyuk leaps and does a neckbreaker to the opponent, then when the opponent his the mat, Mo leaps and hits a HUGE elbow drop, then goes for the pin.
2. The Big Shuffle: Nyuk-Nyuk does his "Nyuk-Chuck" finisher (the F5). Then he Irish whips first one, then another, of his team members towards the ropes, then runs for the ropes himself. All three members run the ropes a few times, stomping the opponent every time they pass them. Then, one after the other, they hit the opponent with big splashes, until all 3 are piled on top of the opponent, legs kicking and flailing like crazy. At this point the ref will shoo away the two on top before counting the pin.
- Signatures:
1. Pop Goes The Weasel (Hulk-Out): Nyuk-Nyuk is the legal man, and in trouble. Mo and/or Frizzy will reach under the ring and pull out a boombox then press play. It will start playing "Pop Goes The Weasel", which will cause Nyuk-Nyuk to "hulk out" and clean house.
2. Hold Hands You Lovebirds (double-team): Two man powerbomb on the opponent, followed by two of Los Knuckleheads posing on either side of the fallen opponent. After taunting the crowd, they clasp their hands together and do a double elbow drop on the opponent.
3. Beaten With The Slap-Stick (triple-team): If the opponent gets tossed into Los Knuckleheads' corner, they will spend nearly the full five seconds performing classic Three Stooges attacks (e.g. eye pokes, head slaps, that thing where they grab the nose and then slap their hand, etc.)
4. Soup To Nuts (double team): One member of the team climbs a turnbuckle, and the other sets the opponent up next to the first team member. The one on the top turnbuckle then grabs the opponent and does an atomic drop from off the top turnbuckle.
- Tactics:
1. Frizzy is a damage sponge. He's often used mid-match as the "face-in-peril" to give the other two members a chance to recuperate.
2. The team THRIVES on confusing their opponents with slapstick. This includes occasionally pretending to get into a fight with one another (complete with eye poking, hair pulling, etc) to throw opponents off guard and make them vulnerable to a double- or triple-team attack.
3. Nyuk-Nyuk and Mo take full advantage of the "touch the floor to tag" rule. They will often use this trick to swiftly clear the ring and take the fight to the outside.
4. As long as it doesn't break the rules, Los Knuckleheads LOVE props! They will gladly use any object the audience provides to do a comical slapstick spot.
SINGLES BIOS
ANGRY MO
Angry Mo is the group's high-flyer and most technically proficient member, using the skills and moves he learned as part of Japan's puroresu scene. While generally perceived by fans as "the leader" (because Moe was totally the guy in charge of the Three Stooges, right?) in reality he's just kind of bossy and hot-headed. Still, the rest of the gang plays along since it enhances the whole Stooges schtick.
- Nicknames: Mo-Mo, Puro Mo, some people who know him from Japan also call him "Hatoita" (literally, "dove biter") since he had a reputation of burning bridges with promoters after (arguably) minor offenses.
- Height & Weight: 6'4", 220 lbs
- Hometown: Okinawa, Japan
- Years Experience: 7 years in Japan (most of it as the masked wrestler "Junsuina Ikari"), 3 years in Mexico (with Los Knuckleheads)
- Alignment: Technico/Neutral (equivalent: WWE Kurt Angle after he came back from injury)
MOVE INFORMATION
- Finisher:
1. Flaming Mo: Envergado kick
2. Anger Management: Figure four with bridge (aka Charlotte's "Figure Eight")
- Signature Moves:
1. Hot-Head: Burning hammer (most common setup for the Flaming Mo)
2. Hair-Splitter: Pele bicycle kick (typically used to counter an attack such as a clothesline)
3. Slap-Dash: A martial arts kick-punch combo that ends with Mo running for the ropes, then bouncing back into a clothesline from hell.
- Offense Style: Puroresu technical/high-flyer, with emphasis on martial arts style attacks. Also works in lots of Three Stooges style "schtick" attacks (e.g. eye pokes, head slaps, etc.)
NYUK-NYUK JOE
Nyuk-Nyuk Joe is the group's powerhouse. Though he's short for a "big man" and appears tubby and out of shape, he's insanely tough and strong. He's also the most experienced member of the group, with nearly two decades of lucha libre experience. The group counts on him for his ability to draw attention to himself with his over-the-top goofiness and charming charisma.
- Nicknames: Nyuks, Nyuklehead, Dustbuster (the last one is only used by close friends and colleagues, and it references a specific and allegedly hilarious thing that happened in a locker room once in Tecata)
- Height & Weight: 6'2", 280 lbs
- Hometown: Nuevo Laredo, Mexico
- Years Experience: 17 years prior to Los Knuckleheads (under a variety of masks/personae), 3 more with Los Knuckleheads
- Alignment: Neutral/Face (equivalent: Cobra-era Santino Marella)
MOVE INFORMATION
- Finishers:
1. Nyuk-Chuck: An F5
2. Numbskull: Opponent is Irish-whipped into the ropes. On the return trip, Nyuk-Nyuk puts his head down and does a running headbutt into the opponent's abdomen.
- Signature Moves:
1. Woop-A-Roonie: Typically used to counter an Irish whip style attack. Nyuk-Nyuk slides between the opponent's legs, lays on his back, and waits for the opponent to turn around. Once they do, he slaps them hard in the face (ala Goldust) then starts doing that "spin around on the floor" thing Curly does while yelling "WOOOOOOOPWOOPWOOPWOOPWOOPWOOP!"
2. Pie Throw: Gorilla press, followed by Nyuk-Nyuk throwing the opponent snake-eyes style into a turnbuckle
3. Pop Goes The Weasel: Mo and/or Frizzy will reach under the ring and pull out a boombox then press play. It will start playing "Pop Goes The Weasel", which will cause Nyuk-Nyuk to "hulk out" and clean house.
- Offense style: Lucha powerhouse, with a fondness for front dropkicks. Also works in lots of Three Stooges style "schtick" attacks (e.g. eye pokes, head slaps, etc.)
FRIZZY FRO
Frizzy Fro is the least experienced member of the group, however he has an almost unnatural ability to absorb damage - he's the least likely member of the group to get pinned, and he has never tapped out to a submission hold. He's often called out as the "face-in-peril", although he is also the group's resident master of submission holds and can be called in late in a match to try and tap someone out.
Nickname: Frizz, the Hebrew Hit Parade
- Height & Weight: 6'3", 250 lbs
- Hometown: Buffalo, NY
- Years Experience: 4 years, all in Mexico
- Alignment: Technico/Face
MOVE INFORMATION
- Finishers:
1. Frizzy Dizzy Driver: Frizzy grabs the opponent DDT style with one arm, grabs the back of their tights with the other, and then airplane-spins them a few times before hitting a DDT.
2. Buffalo Chickenwing: Double chicken wing pin
- Signature Moves:
1. Smell You Later: Modified camel clutch, where Frizz digs his fingers into the opponent's nostrils
2. Stooge-Fright: Lou Thesz press-and-knuckle
3. Chuckle Buster: Running STO
- Offense Style: Old-school, very simple but practical offense, with a specialty in submissions. Also works in lots of Three Stooges style "schtick" attacks (e.g. eye pokes, head slaps, etc.)
